About Clifton Heritage

Located on 208 acres in southwestern New Providence, Clifton Heritage National Park is one of The Bahamas’ most fascinating heritage sites, where the stories of the Lucayans, Loyalists, and Africans span centuries. Steeped in history and natural beauty, the park features historic ruins, caves, nature trails, and a diverse ecosystem of native coppice, cliffs, coastal wetlands, dunes, rocky shorelines, and sandy beaches. Visitors can enjoy guided tours, hiking, bird-watching, beach outings, and picnicking, while the park also serves as a stunning venue for private events weddings, retreats, concerts, and more as well as an extraordinary backdrop for photography, videography, and film.

Mission

Clifton Heritage National Park is operated by the Clifton Heritage Authority. The mission and purpose of Clifton Heritage Authority is to develop and operate a National Park of national and international significance that preserves and promotes the historical, cultural, and natural heritage of The Bahamas. 

Vision

Our vision is to become the foremost heritage preservation park in The Bahamas and The Caribbean, while protecting and preserving three civilizations: Africans, Lucayans, and Europeans.
