The tour begins at the carriage house, now the gift shop, where all the stable functions of the plantation occurred. Across from the Carriage House is the Great House, which was the master’s dwelling on the Plantation. You are then taken to the cliffs of Clifton, which rise forty feet above the ocean, adjacent to an area known as “Sacred Space”. 

This is a space in which carved African female statues made from the trunks of trees depict the slaves that once inhabited this land, staring out to Sea towards Africa.
